We are Living in a mobile world! Is that True for Empire Avenue?

Since I’m back on the  Avenue, around last January 2015, I noticed that there are a lot of newstarters who joined and really didn’t start with the ‘Game’ !!

  • No Profile Picture
  • No Biograph
  • No Portfolio >> read investments
  • Not doing missions
  • Zero Engagement offcourse
  • No Networks connected
  • etcetc.

OK in the past we also had new profiles like this, but its amazing that more then 90% joined nowadays and do almost nothing! Just a couple a day meet my Daily list..

Its so easy  to start an account and take some time to do the Get Started Mission Set for an information tour around the Avenue, direct create a  starters Cash of 750K Eaves and setting UP your profile!

Besides that, it is easy to find people and communities around.  who offer you Help.

WHY?

After our experience from the past, almost all newstarters didn’t know anything about Empire Avenue before!  People think >>> CityVille >> CastleVille >> Empire Avenue?  hmmmmmmm maybe a smaller versions of the City and the Castle! LETS TRY

This is still true, BUT there is more after my opinion and after talking with newstarters lately!!

empire_errorThis is the message you will receive continuous, when you use your mobile devices like your Iphone, Ipad, Tablets, Smartphones and try to do actions on Empire Avenue.

Also Re-authentification, Re-Login messages appear frequently!

I Talked with Maria Dimova (e)LMARIAI  after she contacted me, that she couldn’t Do any missions!

Think .. Think .. Think .. I could not give a solution till I asked: “On what kind of device do you run your Empire Avenue??”

As most people nowadays do, Maria run and manage her complete Social Media on her mobile devices; Iphone and Ipad.

After she Turned On her Computer, she finally can Do Missions and More!!

I will adress this offcourse to the  EAv_Dev team, but if you are new, I hope you read this blog Post and startup your Computer to Continue.

If you not reaching this post,  your are one of the many who quit directly after receiving tons of Error Messages.

  3. Spot on, Gerrit, if mobile was the trend in 2013 it now has become a prerogative for any serious business to be mobile friendly. When I was on a holiday in January with iPhone and iPad it became pretty obvious that EA is sadly lacking in offering proper mobile services.

    I agree that it needs to be more responsive. I travel a lot and it is too hard to maintain my account on my smartphone so there are often days that I am not active on EA

    Theres a mobile app for iOS called “My Empire 3” to help with portfolio management. Not sure if there’s an Android version yet.

    So true. I also wish EAv works on mobile devices. My only free time now is when I’m on my commute to work or going back home. I hope they are working on this.

  8. Fantastic discovery. I have not heard this problem before. Certainly it must be fixed to achieve growth of the “Empire”.

  9. Hi my EA friends. There was an App called myEmpire wich I can’t find at the AppStore but wich works on my iPhone. I use this mainly for buy backs as no missions and many other EA stuff is not supported. It should not be “rocked science” to build an app like this or to motivate the programmer with some $$ €€ to update his app. There is/was another app around……

    Did you experience problems with Empire Avenue on a Mobile Device? Try via a desktop before quitting, Empire Avenue is an incredibly valuable place to be for entrepreneurs online, don’t give in too quickly work the system, it is well worth the effort.

    Our desktop is slow enough, have never tried using any social platform except Twitter via a mobile device due to our connectivity problems. Test mobile sites on mobile device and get mail that is about the sum total! Twitter is used when we have load-shedding with electricity, not for very long either it throws up old tweets…..

  14. Great post friend – this is definitely am issue for keeping the newbies around,this is stunting empire’s growth. They also need to be completing missions – hope this will be fixed, it also explains so much!

    Great post, thanks for sharing. I am the developer of the MyEmpire app and the app is available in the app store again.

    Empire Avenue seems to be very unsupportive of 3rd party developers and I find that very frustrating. They haven’t provided any new features to their API in over 3 years, won’t help promote my app at all (even when it used to be free), and they have stated to me that some features such as sending message will never become available in the API. MyEmpire is not even usable by people with large profiles due to limitations of the ridiculous hourly API limits. An API that doesn’t support all users and all the major features? Really?

    If their API supported messaging, missions, etc., I’d be all over that to provide new features in MyEmpire. Their tired old feature-lacking API needs some major work and they have stated to me numerous times that the API is not their priority.

    I don’t see EAV making their own app any time soon. In my opinion, I think EAV will drop off the planet before an official app sees the light of day.

    Great post! I agree, a mobile app is needed. And Kevin may be right. If it doesn’t get the API to handle mobile, growth will be stunted for sure!
